NON-BINARY COLOURS 2018

I believe life is grey, not just lived in black & white terms. People are dynamic, full of layers and individual experiences. In my adventurous life, I have had the opportunity to witness and listen to the vast spectrum of opinions—every single person adding flavour and perspective to the combined human story. As a former Luddite, this is my very first foray into the megabyte, binary cybersphere; infused with my distinct personal mark-making. Hence the title. I had some inventive fun while doing so. This series is a combination of archival sketches/recent renderings/personal photographs which are digitally collaged with organic precision, using graphic geometric shapes and a kaleidoscope of colours. I purposely tend to create work in a vacuum (with peripheral inspiration from current random visual art) for my artwork to have an aesthetic which is both uplifting, striking and unique.
