MODUS OPERANDI NOVEMBER 2019
I always like to continue to experiment and challenge myself with each new series. Upon gaining access to new technology, in this show entitled “Modus Operandi”, I am allowing the viewer to peer into my daily life. To give the audience a peek into how I approach the creative process within my work. A task of taking the seemingly ordinary and consequently framing it into hopefully what I feel are fantastical compositions. A fresh palette and surface which speaks of a modern urban narrative. As you will see, I have recently embraced the discovery of the found object in the context of everyday life. I have grown to witness and trust my instinct and experience in capturing the seemingly innocuous. As well as noticing the wondrous landscapes which can be viewed in this magnificent city where I was born and raised. I then transpose and collage this imagery, along with traditional media, into a narrative which I believe captures the freedom of what the imagination can bring into one’s own life. A personal documentation and reflection on the times in which we live. These are one-of-a-kind signed pieces. They have been executed on free-floating ¼in. clear acrylic with styrene backer and French cleat for proper hanging. (All the acrylics are direct print UV cured).
